Current Job Openings:

DSP (Direct Support Professional): Coleman Tri-County Services is looking for exceptional individuals who will enrich the lives of the consumers we serve. This specific DSP position would include working within a small residential (4 bed CILA) home providing day to day care for individuals with intellectual disabilities. A complete Job Description will be reviewed and agreed on at time of employment. CNAs are welcome to apply and would appreciate a smaller and more relaxed working environment to provide quality services. An accelerated, paid training program would be applicable to those who already hold an Illinois CNA license. Applicants must have proof of a HS diploma or GED and be able to pass DHS Illinois required background checks/requirements (prior to employment) to insure eligibility for employment. Assistant Bookkeeper

Location:  CTS Main Office, Harrisburg, IL. 

Work Hours:  37.5 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 8:00 – 4:00 pm

Job duties will include, but not limited to:  general bookkeeping, payroll, answering phones, paying bills and other duties as assigned.   

Education/Experience:  Associates Degree or minimum of 5 years’ experience as assistant bookkeeper is preferred.  Must be at least 18 years of age and willing to submit to criminal background checks as required by state regulations.

 

Employment Specialist

Location:  CTS Main Office, Harrisburg, IL

Work Hours:  Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week with flexible work schedule

Job Duties will include but not limited to:   

Secure and maintain supported employment in the community for adults with disabilities. 

Match job applicants to a specific job that fits their skills, preferences, and talents

Maintain compliance with Vocational Rehabilitation and the Department of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities

Provide training to teach individuals served vocational skills in a classroom setting.

Assisting job candidates with mock interviews, developing resumes, and applying for positions in their communities.  

Develop and maintain relationships with area employers to secure employees to match their job openings.

Educational/Experience Requirements:  Bachelor’s degree in rehabilitation, social work, psychology, or human service field.  At least one year of work experience with individuals with disabilities.  Must pass the health care worker Criminal Background Check and the Pre-employment Screening requirement of the Nurse AIDE Registry.  Specialized training provided for this position.   

 

 

Business Relations Specialist

Location:  CTS Main Office, Harrisburg, IL

Work Hours:  Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week with flexible work schedule

Job Duties will include but not limited to: 

Build relationships with businesses in Saline and surrounding counties to facilitate the hiring of people with disabilities.  Meet face-to-face with employers to learn about employment needs.

Provide employers and community information about the benefits of hiring people with disabilities and connect them with this talent pool.

Secure and maintain supported employment in the community for adults with disabilities. 

Match job applicants to a specific job that fits their skills, preferences, and talents.

Supported Employment Job Coach (3 full-time and one part-time position available)

Location:  CTS Main Office Harrisburg, IL and/or location of job site

Work Hours:  Day and/or early evening, some weekends may be required based on job site.  Up to 40 hours a week based on assignment.  Job Coach position allows for flexibility in assignments to match personal schedule with work schedule.     

Job Duties will include but not limited to: 

Work with individuals with disabilities on the job site to help them learn their job, develop natural supports, and meet the needs of the employer. 

Ensure individuals served understand all safety aspects and work site procedures for working conditions, equipment, and materials used in task completion.

Assist with training and education of vocational subjects in classroom setting. 

Document on progress of employment performance and provide recommendations.

Maintain compliance with Vocational Rehabilitation and the Department of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities

Educational/Experience Requirements:  Must have a minimum of a high school diploma/GED.  Must pass the health care worker Criminal Background Check and the Pre-employment Screening requirement of the Nurse AIDE Registry.  At least one year of work experience with individuals with disabilities preferred.  Specialized training provided for this position.

Dear Applicant,

Coleman Tri County Services utilizes a multiple phase hiring process. The first phase is you filling out and returning the attached application. Upon receipt your application will be reviewed. If we are currently hiring and you are being considered you will be requested to complete phase 2.


Phase 2 consists of you supplying us with additional information to complete a preliminary background check. This will include completing a Health Care Worker Background Check Authorization and Disclosure for Criminal History Records Information (CHRI) Check. You will also need to fill out your hours of availability and the location at which you would like to work. Your hours of availability, preferred work locations and application will be forwarded to the appropriate supervisor. If the supervisor is interested in possibly hiring you, you will receive a call to schedule an interview. Please make sure you have a good phone number on your application! The call for the interview does not mean you are hired. We normally interview several people for each vacancy and then make a selection.


Phase 3 consists of an interview. After the interview if you are selected as one of our new staff you will be ask to come in and complete the task needed to meet all of our licensure requirements including new hire paperwork, submitting Social Security Card and a second form of ID listed on the 19, proof of auto insurance and written verification of a High School Diploma or GED, a CANTS Background Check authorization, and an in-depth background check which may include fingerprinting. All staff are hired pending successful completion of the background check. If you have a disqualifying offense you will not be able to work at any facility owned or operated by the Agency.
