Job Placement

Our Job Placement Program provides training and supports to help individuals with disabilities prepare for, obtain, and maintain employment that is based on their personal talents, skills, and preferences.  We continue to provide support after a job is obtained for 90 Days or until the individual is satisfied with employment.  Funding is provided through an annual contract by the Department of Human Services/Office of Rehabilitations Services (DRS) and is no cost to the individual with disabilities.  We can assist individuals with disabilities who wish to seek competitive integrated employment with applying to DRS services.  Our Job Placement Program is accredited by CARF through January 31, 2022.   

Admission Criteria for Job Placement Program:

  • 18 years or older
  • Must be referred from IL Department of Rehabilitation (DRS)
  • Have a physical or mental impairment that constitutes or results in a substantial impediment to employment

Services provided for the individual on and off the job through this program:

    • Resume development
    • Career Counseling
    • Interview skills training
    • Soft skills training
    • Job search and training
    • Job development
    • Assistance with completing job applications and onboarding activities
    • Employer Consultation
    • Financial assistance with required job-related supplies
    • Job coaching
    • Referrals/assistance for other needed services such as transportation, benefits counseling, or other areas of need

Walgreens Transition Work Group (TWG):

The Walgreens TWG is a partnership between Illinois Department of Rehabilitation Services (DRS), Walgreens Distribution Center and Coleman Tri-County Services (CTS).  For individuals with disabilities who want a full-time job at Walgreens Distribution Center this program is offered to provide on the job supports to help learn and retain duties at a slower rate to facilitate a career that matches their personal talents and preferences.  Funding is provided fee for service DRS.  Highly trained job coaches employed by CTS work alongside the individuals served for 13 weeks with (1) one week orientation process and (12) weeks of a “hands on” training.  DRS and CTS work together to locate, screen, and prepare candidates for the positions offered by Walgreens.  We can assist individuals with disabilities who wish to seek competitive integrated employment with applying to DRS services.
